I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at DGIST. I am also honored to have been selected as a Distinguished Professor. Additionally, I am affiliated with the Artificial Intelligence Major in Interdisciplinary Studies. I serve as the Director of the Computation Efficient Learning Lab (CELL), where my group focuses on designing alternative, efficient learning methodologies inspired by brain-like hyperdimensional computing for lightweight and on-device AI. We are also exploring the application of state-of-the-art learning solutions, such as deep learning, to build future systems.

My background is in computer software, and I love computer programming. I have also studied many embedded systems and computer architecture-related topics, the ones of my primary research in my Ph.D. study. I used to play keyboards in different meanings – please come visit this or this to listen to my song!
